The Bad The first thing that caught my eye was what looked to be a rip-off from Opera. Take a look at the new Firefox button compared to “Opera” button at the upper left of the browser. The largest of these updates… No more Google Invites needed! Google+ has hit Beta status and is now available to everyone! The MGM deal falls on the heals of the Paramount Pictures deal Google announced just few weeks back and of course the Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks deal back in November. All in, YouTube has signed five of the six major studios (Fox is still the holdout) which puts it on pace to bring my prediction to fruition that YouTube will soon make NetFlix irrelevant in the long-term, at least in regards to its online streaming business....

However, Google has decided that its users aren’t using the launcher, and prefer to launch apps from within Chrome. So, according to Google, the launcher will no longer be enabled when users first install a Chrome desktop app. According to the company, this is an effort to help emphasize simplicity and streamline the browser features. The removal process will take place over the next several months. Once it is removed, you’ll still have two methods to launch the apps....

Google Maps for Android Google Maps is, just like Android, a Google product. This is why you’d expect it to get features before iOS. And in a lot of cases, it does. Weirdly enough, that wasn’t the case for the ability to change the way your car icon looks in it.
