Solmail for Android
Solmail currently supports Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, Hotmail, Outlook and hosted email servers for domains.
When you open the app, it automatically prompts you to choose which email service you want to set up. In my case, I set up two different email addresses for domains I manage. Since the email was hosted by my web server, I chose “Others” on the list. If you want to do the same, you would have to refer to your web host for instructions.
On the other hand, if you’re using a regular Gmail or Yahoo account, you only need your user name and password for the set up. From here, managing multiple email accounts is so much easier. The app uses Swipe to Delete function, where you swipe a message to the left and it automatically deletes it. This can be changed to Swipe to Archive in the app’s settings. Switching between different emails is also less annoying since you can filter your inbox view by email address.
When you compose a new message, the default email address will be shown in the “From:” field. You can click on the tiny button that says “Change” to use a different email address.
As an email junkie, I can truly say that I’ve spent a lot of time testing email apps on my Android phone. So far, Solmail stands out in both functionality and style.
