Find Bubble Level in iOS 7
Launch your Compass app in iOS. It will tell you to tilt the screen to roll the ball around the circle. This is to calibrate the compass. This takes about 15-20 seconds.
The compass app will launch:
However, you want to use the level. Just swipe Left. Now you have a level.
When your object or surface is perfectly level, the screen until the display’s zero and becomes green.
Who knew your new mobile OS can help you adjust and keep your things level. Whether an iPhone will be required in a carpenter’s toolbox remains to be seen though. Is this unique to your iPad or do I need to download an app? If a download is required, to which of the many that are available are you referring? Thank you in advance. Unfortunately, the iPad doesn’t have a built-in compass app. :( I’m not sure why Apple did that. That said, you won’t find it on an iPod touch either. It’s included with the iPhone, though. Sorry about that. It’s supposed to be installed as part of the update. (The compass has been part of the iPhone since the 3GS, if memory serves me correctly, but it often goes overlooked.) That said, it’s only on iPhone. (Sorry, iPad and iPod touch users.) That’s just something that Apple did for whatever reason. It may be a hardware limitation or an arbitrary choice made by the powers that be. Now, if you do have an iPhone, it should be installed already. Try to swipe down to open Spotlight and type in ‘Compass’ it should pop up. Though were you keep it on your individual device depends on how you have things set up. I keep mine in a folder called “Utilities” with my calculator and other apps I consider helpful tools. Comment Name * Email *
